DIGITALIZATION EXPERT GROUP (DEG)

He has worked since 2004 at Pepperl+Fuchs, focusing on streamlining and digitalizing content- and data-management processes. He has been a member of the eCl@ss Operating Arm committee since 2014, and in 2017, founded the DEG, which he continues to serve as spokesperson. True to the creed “No digitalization without standardization,” Bondza is also active with the ZVEI, DIN and the DKE, with the goal of realizing the vision of Industry 4.0 and the internet of things (IoT) through comprehensive standards.

Alexander Belyaev, Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg

M.Sc. Alexander Belyaev (1987) studied electrical engineering at OvGU Magdeburg. There he has been a research assistant at the Institute for Automation Engineering since 2014. His main research areas are systems architecture for the interaction of I4.0 – components and the semantic methods for interoperability in the digital factory. He works on standardization of I4.0 – concepts in several working groups at ZVEI, eCl@ss e.V. and VDI/VDE-GMA.

Dr. Birgit Boss, Robert Bosch GmbH

Dr. Birgit Boss works with Robert Bosch GmbH in different business areas and sectors in an international setting since 1996. She is a Software Engineer and Lead Software Architect with more than 20 years experience in the development and roll out of architectures, methods and standards for complex (embedded) systems. Areas of expertise include Software Architecture, Software Product Line Development, Software Ecosystems, Continuous Refactoring, Process Development and AUTOSAR. Her current interest is on Industrial IoT, semantic technologies and digital twin concepts (including the asset administration shell).

Dr. Birgit Boss is active in various standardization committees and activities in the context of industry 4.0, the AG1 “Reference Architectures, Standards and Norms” of the German Plattform Industrie 4.0, Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), ZVEI Work Group “Models and Standards”, and others. She is convinced that standardization is a key factor for interoperability.

Dr. Birgit Boss studied computer science at the TH Darmstadt, Germany. She worked as a research engineer at the Forschungszentrum Informatik (FZI) and received the PH.D. degree from the Karlsruhe University, Germany, in 1995.

Dr. Wilfried Hartmann, BASF SE

Wilfried Hartmann studied physics at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, and has worked for BASF SE in Ludwigshafen since 1988. He has been responsible for the maintenance and planning of chemical plants, including global master-data management for electrical and instrumentation equipment. As a result, he has been active in numerous committees for groups including NAMUR, eCl@ss, DKE, Plattform Industry 4.0, and IEC, focusing particularly on the areas of status-measurement technology and engineering, and today particularly on the issue of qualities. At eCl@ss, he is involved with the Center of Research of Development (CRD), which is responsible for eCl@ss technology. He additionally is a member of Expert Groups 27-20, working on the topics of process automation, service quality descriptions, and collaboration with the ZVEI and the PNO, and of course participates on the DEG.
