Extension of the eCl@ss license model

In the future, it will be possible to access individual eCl@ss structural and content elements using a web service. Such users will pay only for the IRDIs actually accessed (“pay per IRDI model”). This will enable users to access individually selected portions of an eCl@ss release.

Please note: This service is free for members and Concordance licensees. More information will be available shortly.

Why pay more?

In order to ensure that the eCl@ss standard remains at the technological forefront, an adjustment to current membership fees and license costs will be necessary.
The eCl@ss standard has grown rapidly in recent years. With its expansion into new industries, innovative projects and strong customer support, the standard has taken significant strides forward in terms of quality. In order to continue meeting the demands associated with the digital transformation (e.g., smart manufacturing and IoT scenarios), the eCl@ss board and Steering Committee decided in March 2019 to adjust the fees for the first time since six years, in order to consolidate and further extend our technological and developmental lead in the areas of smart manufacturing and IoT.

If you have any questions regarding the premium adjustment and the extension of the license model, please do not hesitate to contact the eCl@ss office.
